Objectives To help science teachers develop structured three-part lessons by using engaging starters, main and plenary activities.
Description of material The unit consists of 4 sessions. Sessions cover such questions as: What is an effective science lesson?; Starter activities; Developing the main activity; Use of the plenary. The materials consist of: Tutors notes, Training slides for the session, Participants resource pack, Additional Handouts. All the materials were produced by the Department for Education, UK 2002.
