Objectives To identify and to consider the implications of pupils’ misconceptions in key scientific ideas for teaching science.
Description of material This training activity consists of seven sessions to be worked with the participants. They cover such topics as: misconceptions in Key Stage 3 science; using models and analogies; particles, cells, energy, interdependence and Earth science. All the materials were produced by the Department for Education, UK 2002.
